Founder / Principal UX Engineer & Web + Product Developer at Nye-Zik Creative

As Founder and Principal UX Engineer at Nye-Zik Creative, I lead a full-service UX, web, and product development agency delivering strategy, design, and technical solutions for clients across industries. I oversee all aspects of our projects — from UX strategy and UI design to custom development and scalable front-end architecture — ensuring every solution meets the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and maintainability. Our work spans enterprise and healthcare platforms, with a strong focus on ADA/WCAG compliance, HIPAA-aligned practices, and operational efficiency. In addition to custom builds, I have developed and scaled Website-as-a-Service (WaaS) products that provide turnkey, subscription-based solutions for small businesses, nonprofits, and special districts. To date, Nye-Zik Creative has generated over $750K in total project revenue, with 75% of annual income driven by our Maintenance Retainer program supporting long-term client success.

NeoGenomics (Enterprise Healthcare SaaS)

Principal UX Engineer (UX/UI Design + Front-End Architecture + Design System)

UX/UI strategy and design system development for enterprise healthcare SaaS platforms serving both internal operations and external clinical users.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Operations) to modernize legacy applications, improve workflows, and ensure ADA/WCAG accessibility and HIPAA compliance.

Designed modular, scalable front-end component libraries supporting a Salesforce environment and custom client dashboards.

CareMonk (Health Tech Startup – In-Home Care SaaS)

Co-Founder & UX/UI Design + Front-End Development + Product Strategy

Designed and engineered a HIPAA-compliant SaaS platform to support in-home caregivers, patients, and families with real-time care coordination and communication.
Led UX strategy, user journey mapping, and interface design focused on usability, accessibility, and ease of adoption by non-technical users.
Built the initial front-end architecture and responsive UI components to support secure, real-time updates and seamless integration with backend services.
Collaborated directly with pilot users and stakeholders to validate workflows, iterate on designs, and align product features with operational needs.

Connected Home Living

Silicon Valley health tech startup company. Their products provide realtime Remote Patient Monitoring to ensure consistent and effective care from the comfort of patients homes. In addition to designing and developing their front-end marketing site, I consulted, designed and built their backend partners’ portal, a secured partners resource area.

Midtown Sacramento Association

For the Midtown Sacramento Association, I provided end-to-end product development, UX/UI design, and technical solutions supporting two Property Business Improvement Districts (PBIDs) and two Restaurant Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in Sacramento, California. In addition to designing and building their main marketing website, I developed an interactive, dynamic district map built on the Google Maps API and their Wayfinding Experience Application, which allows users to explore the city through self-guided tours. This includes designing and building responsive landing pages for various landmarks, creating a dynamic QR code infrastructure, and delivering an interactive solution where visitors can scan wayfinding posts throughout the district to access rich, location-specific content. The project focused on usability, accessibility, and operational maintainability, and I continue to provide ongoing website maintenance and support.

The Humboldt Lodging Alliance

The Humboldt Lodging Alliance (HLA) is a 501(c)(6) California nonprofit representing Humboldt County's lodging industry. It includes eight jurisdictions: Eureka, Arcata, Ferndale, Fortuna, Rio Dell, and three unincorporated areas (County South, County North, and County East). Board members, elected every two years, represent these jurisdictions based on their TBID revenues. A Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) is a collection of lodging properties that pay an assessment on individual room night stays. The assessment—a nominal fee passed onto the customer—provides funding for destination marketing and development to bring more visitors to the destination.

An international travel agency sending thousands of young adults and students around the world annually. We’ve created and maintained a network of brand sites in their corporate portfolio on a WordPress Multi-Site platform. This platform gives the client the ability to easily create new divisions to target new audiences within the travel space. By utilizing this platform and marketing automation tools the client is able to quickly scale and pivot services to meet the demand of their industry while generating leads.

Infinitiwireless & Peninsula Engineering Solutions

Infinitiwireless is a full service microwave engineering (cell towers), furnishing and installation company based in Sacramento, California. Peninsula Engineering Solutions, Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer and seller of Microwave RF Repeaters (cell tower anttenas). We built their company site, product site and their RMA (Return merchandise authorization) portal which allows thier customers to returm product for repair. We turned their time consuming labor intensive return process into a mostly automated customer experience.
