I’m Joey, a Principal UX Engineer & Design Technologist with over 15 years of experience in UX/UI design, front-end engineering, and digital product strategy.

My journey began in the early 2000s, designing websites with GIMP and table-based HTML/CSS on a home-built Linux machine. I initially pursued Computer Science, building and deploying dynamic web applications, before shifting my academic focus to Political Science and Philosophy. Although I once considered law school, my passion for technology and design ultimately defined my path.

Since 2011, I’ve worked across startups, eCommerce, and enterprise environments — building everything from marketplace platforms and vendor portals to enterprise dashboards and custom WordPress solutions. My experience spans UX strategy, front-end architecture, and product development, bridging the gap between design, engineering, and business strategy.

I believe in clean, purposeful design, where every element serves a clear function. Whether developing scalable design systems, optimizing enterprise workflows, or shaping product strategy, I focus on crafting intuitive, high-performance experiences that bring clarity, consistency, and efficiency to teams and users alike.

I’m especially excited about the future of design — where AI-assisted creation, design-to-code automation, and intelligent systems will accelerate workflows and redefine how teams build digital products. My goal is to help shape that future by uniting human creativity with scalable, system-driven design.
